About Fly Before Friday

Two nights, properly used

Last updated August 13, 2026

Fly Before Friday is an independent publication about fares & booking and everything next to it. It exists because the useful version of this subject is usually the one nobody has time to write.

Our house style is energetic, time-conscious, practical about short trips. We would rather publish one piece that holds up than five that fill a schedule.

What we cover

The site is organised into 6 sections:

  • Fares & Booking — How short-haul pricing moves, and when booking actually gets cheaper.
  • 48 Hours — Itineraries built for two nights, not compressed from seven.
  • Short-Break Cities — Places that reward a weekend and places that punish one.
  • Timing — Thursday flights, Monday returns and the hours a trip actually costs you.
  • Travelling Light — Two nights in a cabin bag, and the small kit that makes it work.
  • Near-Home Escapes — Rail and road breaks that beat flying for anything under four hours.

Who writes it

Every article carries a named writer with a profile page, and nothing is published anonymously. You can see the full list on our writers page.

How it is funded

Fly Before Friday is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no sight of, and no influence over, what we publish — the wall between the two is described in full in our editorial policy.

Who publishes it

Fly Before Friday is published by Shortbreak Media House, a sole proprietorship of Rajeev Chawla, 42, DLF Phase 3, Gurugram, Haryana, 122010, India. Telephone: +91 85952 12155.
